Valentines Celebrations at Amica Care
In keeping with tradition, the joy, warmth and celebration of Valentines was spread throughout our homes, as everyone involved had a wonderful time and created some joyful memories.
Ernstell House embraced the spirit of Valentines with a delightful party held at the stunning home in Plymouth. Rosie entertained everyone with her fantastic live music, which was followed by a fun quiz, bringing out laughter and friendly competition. The dedicated kitchen team lived up to their impressive reputation with homemade buns and delicious heart-shaped shortbread, adding a sweet touch to the brilliant event. Amazing artwork made by our talented residents was showcased at the Gallery of Love, demonstrating the creativity and passion that flows throughout our beautiful community at Amica Care.
A vision of love filled Signature House, as rooms were decorated with hearts and balloons. Residents enjoyed Valentines inspired baking and made biscuits and cakes that looked almost too good to eat! The day was filled with engaging activities like colouring and drawing, adding a touch of artistic flair, while the Valentines themed menu and food was a feast for both the eyes and the palate.
At Exmouth House, our loving community shared their advice on how to find the perfect Valentine, and the heartwarming results were displayed for all to see. As well as this, the morning Art club was enjoyed by all, as residents showed off their creative skills and had a lovely morning with one another. Filled with laughter, joy, sweet-smelling roses, and a special atmosphere, it was a Valentines to remember. The Orchards celebrated in similar fashion, radiating love and affection with their breathtaking decorations. Like all our homes, their incredible efforts shone through, and everyone involved had a marvellous experience.
Handmade chocolates made by our skilled residents at St Johns Court were given to one another, as well as a red rose, serving as a beautiful gift and a reminder of the love we feel for each other all year round. The lounges, adorned with red balloons and streamers, provided the perfect setting for the day’s celebrations. Additionally, the tables, dressed in red and white, set the stage for the mouth-watering afternoon tea, served on Valentines inspired cake stands by our hardworking team.
It is safe to say that our incredible community here at Amica Care had a wonderful Valentines Day, serving as a reminder of the love, care and support we foster all year round. We are proud of the strong bonds and unity we share across our homes and relish the opportunity to celebrate love in all forms, not just on Valentines Day, but every day.
