St John's Court welcomes Bee Gees Tribute Act
The Activities Team at St John’s Court Nursing Home in Bromsgrove once again dazzled their residents and colleagues by turning the home’s dining room into a 1970’s New York nightclub.
The Home welcomed the ‘Bee Gees Experience’, a Tribute Band act that was formed in 2001 and has since successfully performed all around the globe. The band recreates the music of the Bee Gees, and the band members perform classic harmonies featuring Nick Lester on lead vocals as Barry Gibb.
It’s 45 years since Saturday Night Fever became a cinema sensation, with a classic soundtrack from the Gibb brothers and John Travolta’s disco moves.
The residents got involved with all the preparation work in the weeks prior the event and made some 1970’s inspired pizza boxes for the entr’acte.
Colleagues and Residents enjoyed dressing up in Bee Gees era clothes for the event, creating a nice atmosphere for the band to perform in. The Residents were overjoyed and were up dancing and singing along with the music.
Residents commented afterwards “I really enjoyed it; it brought back so many memories”.
Ben, the Activities Lead said “This has been literally one of the most amazing events we have ever hosted. The atmosphere was incredible. Thank you so much to the UK’s number one Bee Gees tribute band”.
