Reflecting on Our Inspiring Managers' Away Day
Last Tuesday, Amica Care hosted a highly engaging and productive Managers' Away Day, attended by our dedicated Home Managers and Deputy Managers. The event, organised by the Operations Team and Trust Administrator, focused on shaping and refining our managers' vision for their homes, in line with our broader mission of delivering exceptional care.
The day was an invaluable opportunity for managers to step back from their daily responsibilities and reflect on their long-term goals and strategies for their homes. It provided a platform for open discussion, creative brainstorming, and knowledge sharing. Our aim was to ensure that each home is driven by a clear vision that not only supports high standards of care but also fosters a warm, inclusive, and empowering environment for both residents and colleagues alike.
A key topic that emerged during the discussions was the importance of working closely with our local communities. Many managers expressed their commitment to strengthening community ties and highlighted the role that community engagement plays in enhancing the lives of our residents.
We were privileged to welcome two distinguished guest speakers, each bringing unique insights and expertise to the day:
Phillipa Doyle, Director and National Head of Advisory and Social Care at Hempsons LLP and Tim Dallinger, Director at Social Care Consultants.
As we move forward, we are excited to implement the ideas and strategies discussed and to continue supporting our managers in achieving their vision of high-quality, and excellent care.
