St John's Court Care Home was transformed to the year of 1929, New Years Eve.
Everyone dressed the part to enjoy card games including poker, an array of alcoholic beverages prior to counting down to the new year.
As soon as midnight struck, the murder mystery commenced, who did it……..?
Residents and staff members teamed up to solve the many riddles which then led on to the hunting of the clues around the home.
After interrogating the witnesses and being able to ask the characters questions, it was concluded…..
‘It was Edgar, in the lounge, that used the broken glass bottle to kill Felix Fotano the club owner!!! Why? Because Felix was funding Edgar’s film and pulled out of funding as Edgar was having an affair with Edith, Felix’s wife!’

In recognition of carers week, on 19th June Housman Court Care Home held an awards evening of celebration to thank staff for all their hard work and dedication to the care of our residents. We incorporated our staff values into the awards and enjoyed a toast and buffet. We had a variety of award categories that staff, residents and relatives nominated staff for. Relatives contributed towards the evening and messaged words of kindness for the team.
Missing from the photo call are: Richard - Positive Attitude Award. Mick - Goes the Extra Mile Award
Home Manager Lisa Dews said 'We felt it was important to praise staff for all their efforts and thank them for all their hard work with going the extra mile with recent challenges we are all facing. They have continued to provide the best care for all our residents and ensured care and activities have not been compromised.'
