In recognition of carers week, on 19th June Housman Court Care Home held an awards evening of celebration to thank staff for all their hard work and dedication to the care of our residents. We incorporated our staff values into the awards and enjoyed a toast and buffet. We had a variety of award categories that staff, residents and relatives nominated staff for. Relatives contributed towards the evening and messaged words of kindness for the team.
Missing from the photo call are: Richard - Positive Attitude Award. Mick - Goes the Extra Mile Award
Home Manager Lisa Dews said 'We felt it was important to praise staff for all their efforts and thank them for all their hard work with going the extra mile with recent challenges we are all facing. They have continued to provide the best care for all our residents and ensured care and activities have not been compromised.'
(Please note Government guidelines were adhered to and social distancing when photographs were being taken)

"Just a brief email to say my sincere thanks to all who looked after mom (and me) over the last few days and over the last 5 years. I have been writing a blog for some time now and this inauspicious moment has made it. It possibly demonstrates not just how grateful I am to you all but also how much mom loved St John's Court Care Home in Bromsgrove and all the staff. The home is truly a credit to the Care Home system and you and the staff the finest example of how things can be done".
